Job Purpose
The Internal & External Affairs Officer will be responsible for managing the organization’s internal governance, compliance, and staff relations, as well as overseeing external stakeholder engagement, public relations, and brand reputation. This dual role ensures operational integrity while strengthening relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Affairs:
- Monitor adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Investigate internal complaints, incidents, and breaches of conduct.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations and findings.
- Support internal audits and risk management activities.
- Develop and deliver training on compliance, ethics, and workplace conduct.
External Affairs:
- Manage and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee corporate communications, media relations, and public statements.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and community engagements.
- Monitor industry trends, regulations, and policies affecting the organization.
- Support brand building, marketing, and external outreach campaigns.
Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in compliance, stakeholder relations, or public affairs (consulting a plus).
- Excellent communication, investigation, and relationship-building skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and networking abilities for external affairs.
